The Electronics Technology Program at Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, is pleased to invite you to participate in the XIV International Congress of Electronics, Control and Telecommunications (CIECT), that will take place on November 18 and 19, 2019, in the university main library “Aduanilla de Paiba”, Bogotá, Colombia.
The major topics will be the technologies of: Electronics; Control; Telecommunications.
In the topics of such areas will be explored in particular: Signal processing, intelligent systems, Control and automation systems, Bioengineering, Information and communications technologies, alternative energy sources.
According to this, the UDFJ of C, and in particular the Technological Faculty, in this event, will show results of research and development in these areas exploring solutions and theoretical and practical benefits for the academic, social, and productive community.
Thus, the Congress of Electronics, Control and Telecommunications has been characterized by showing both national and international research that meet the specific needs developed by high quality researchers and that ultimately seek the connection of the academy with the local and national industry.
Consequently, research articles are called on the topics indicated below. There will be a maximum of two (2) works per author. Each submitted work will be evaluated by the scientific committee of the corresponding area and topic:
Signal Processing: The treatment, analysis and manipulation of the information contained in a signal has become a daily and almost obligatory activity in the modern world.
The need for digital signal processing to solve multiple and diverse problems in electronics, control and telecommunications remains relevant. Therefore, the CIECT opens to the academic and scientific community the possibility of socializing their work and research related to the development and implementation of applications that make use of Signal Processing to solve problems related to the following specialized topics: Audio recognition, Image processing, communications, Commercial and military industry, Medicine, Consumer electronics.
Intelligent Systems: The interest in the implementation of electronic devices at the hardware-software level has led the business, industrial and academic sectors – in different areas of knowledge – to conduct research in Intelligent Systems. Therefore, the CIECT opens to the academic and scientific community the possibility of socializing their work and research related to the development and implementation of Smart Systems applications related to the following specialized topics: Artifical neural networks, fuzzy logic, genetic algorithms, artificial ethology, intelligent robotic systems, Bio-inspired systems, service robots, machine learning algorithms, intelligent systems applications.
Control and automation systems: Recent technological advances have focused on the generation of new products and services by introducing highly automated systems. However, the human being has sought to optimize artificial intelligence by designing machines that are capable of performing maintenance and new activities, so that people can focus on intellectual work and have more free time in their daily lives. Therefore, the CIECT opens to the academic and scientific community the possibility of socializing their work and research related to the development and implementation of Control and Automation focused on the following specialized topics: Industrial processes, Industry 4.0, development of new technologies and their implementation and benefits for social development.
Bioengineering: Currently, clinical-hospital sectors, bioengineering industry, academic and research groups, as well as multiple scientific organizations develop intensive knowledge and innovation activities related to this area. This discipline combines engineering design criteria and analysis tools from mathematics, physics and chemistry to solve problems in medicine, biology, biotechnology, pharmacy, among others. Therefore, the CIECT opens to the academic and scientific community the possibility of socializing their work and research related to the development and implementation of Bioengineering applications focused on the following specialized topics: Bioinformatics, BioInstrumentation, Biomaterials, Biomechanics and Rehabilitation, BioSignals, Biotechnology in Bioengineering, Medical Imaging, Medical Informatics, Clinical and Hospital Engineering, Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine, Modeling and Simulation, Nanotechnology.
Information and communications technologies: Currently, the resources, tools and programs used to process, manage and share information have advanced in portability and speed and have covered almost all areas of social life. Therefore, the CIECT opens to the academic and scientific community the possibility of socializing their work and research related to the development and implementation of ICT applications focused on the following specialized topics: Optical networks, Wireless communications, Internet of things (IoT), Machine-to-machine communication (M2M), Blockchain, Sensor networks, New generation networks, Energy efficient protocols and networks, Software-defined networks, Information security, Regulation in ICT.
Alternative energy sources: Currently, it is essential for productive, business, industrial and academic fields, to promote sustainable development at all levels.
The term energy is defined cyclically, expressed physically in the first law of thermodynamics. According to this, developments in this area are about material quantities and how they are transformed. Therefore, the CIECT opens to the academic and scientific community the possibility of socializing their work and research related to the development and implementation of Energy applications focused on the following specialized topics: power generation, energy control, efficiency and performance of systems, innovation in energy storage systems, robustness in new forms of power generation.
The papers with the best evaluation will be presented orally or on a poster during the event; they will be incorporated in the memories of the Congress; and those submitted in English will be evaluated in order to choose those that can be published in the magazine Visión Electrónica: more than a solid state – Categorized in Publindex of COLCIENCIAS, and in international indexation and referencing systems.
Paper submission
The authors must initially submit a summary of the work using the
downloadable template : Plantilla descargable XIV-CIECT.
