ENEGRECER LA FORMACIÓN DOCENTE: CUERPOS Y SUBJETIVIDADES NEGRAS EN LA DANZA
El espacio académico titulado “Enegrecer la Formación Docente: Cuerpos y Subjetividades Negras en la Danza” es una plataforma única y enriquecedora que se sumerge en la exploración y promoción de la diversidad y la inclusión en el ámbito de la danza y la educación. Este espacio se ha creado con el propósito de abordar temas fundamentales relacionados con la cultura afrodescendiente, destacando la importancia de los cuerpos y subjetividades negras en la danza contemporánea.
En este espacio académico, se fomenta la reflexión crítica sobre cómo la representación y la participación de la comunidad afrodescendiente en el mundo de la danza pueden enriquecerla y promover una mayor igualdad de oportunidades en la formación docente. Se busca ampliar la comprensión de las diversas tradiciones de danza afro y su influencia en la danza contemporánea, así como el papel crucial que desempeñan los profesionales y educadores negros en este campo.
Además, este espacio no solo se concentra en la teoría, sino que también ofrece oportunidades para la práctica y la expresión artística. Los participantes tienen la oportunidad de aprender y experimentar las distintas formas de danza afro y cómo estas pueden enriquecer la formación docente en danza.
“Enegrecer la Formación Docente: Cuerpos y Subjetividades Negras en la Danza” es un espacio inclusivo y visionario que desafía las normas establecidas y ofrece una perspectiva más amplia y enriquecedora de la danza, al mismo tiempo que promueve la igualdad y el respeto por la diversidad. Este espacio académico contribuye de manera significativa a la construcción de un mundo más inclusivo y equitativo, en el que la danza se convierte en un medio poderoso para celebrar y enriquecer la cultura afrodescendiente.

Narratives of the Self as a Decolonial Possibility

September 1st
Today, Karen (our Student- HeadTeacher) led an activity in which her colleagues were able to situate within a social and historical framework of analysis. The conversation began by analyzing the documentary PEQUEÑAS VOCES. Karen used those touching narratives to guide her peers into the voices and experiences of those victims of the conflict in Colombia. The activity created an amazing space for others to connect and feel. This was our 1st step to thinking of the teacher within a given context in which other’s experiences can be ours too.
September 22nd
Today we had an online session. Professor Ammarantha Wass attended and shared a conversation about decolonial pedagogies. She belongs to the Lic. in Community Education with Emphasis in Human Rights attached to the National Pedagogical University. She is currently the spokesperson for the Fundación Cuerpos en Resistencia, which fights for rights guarantees for bodily, sexual, and gender dissident populations within a radius of action in the town of Santa Fe and other high-impact areas in Bogotá. She belongs to the group of educators gathered under the organization Social Mobilization for Education, who move from popular education and alternative pedagogical projects.

October 27th
In the session today, professor Jonathan Delgado, from UNICA university, conversed with us about materials development from a gender perspective. There were lots of insights about this topic. We value the time professor Delgado made for the session.
November 17th
In the session today, Shirley Castañeda opened up a critical space to reflect upon gender and body representations in education. She spoke about Linguistic Ideologies in ELT. this session was full of creative ideas and passionate opinions about the topic.
November 24th
Today, we had a great session led by Professor Delgado, from UNICA, and his student Cesar and Larry. The session revolved around gender and possibilities to analyze recent literature in the field.
